I was out sampling the Docklands Light Railway along with the rest of the Transport for London services so I can hardly post.

One word: AMAZING!!!!!

I was also spending time with cousins who live in Ocean City, Maryland. Did you know that the city’s Coastal Highway bus runs 24/7?

Every 10 minutes 6 AM to 3 AM
Every 20 minutes 3 AM to 6 AM

Now we’re not quite there yet, but some of my Navy buddies tell me if only HRT’s MAX buses, as well as local Routes 2 and 15, got them on the base in time to report for duty at 0500 they would ride.

The 960 is “under performing”. Uh, hmm.

One of the biggest problems is the Resort Area businesses wanted a Town Center to Oceanfront connection (and the 20 doesn’t count). Also, the 960 was originally going to stop at the Convention Center too.

So the contract is awarded! It’s coming.

Also, at the New Starts Committee meeting, they’re thinking about taking a bus tour of The Tide. Since legally under Virginia Law it’s a public meeting, what do I need to do to go on that bus ride?

HRT is coming along

I was traveling on the 310 the other day and wow, it’s really coming along. The demolition of Kirn is just around the corner, the new 18th Street is coming, and word on the streets is that Virginia Beach buses are going to have to start running at night.

All we need now is service to ORF Airport.
